Is Paul McCusker one of your favorite Adventures in Odyssey writers? If he is then you're probably familiar with some of his other works. But just in case you aren't, here's a little introduction. If you like the Passages series, then you'll probably enjoy reading another book series McCusker wrote called The Time Thriller Trilogy. This series delivers gripping, fast-paced mystery that intrigues and captivates through hours, seconds, and centuries. A long history of strange disappearances and unexplainable occurrences leave clues that the town of Fawlt Line may actually sit on a time fault—a portal to alternate times and unexpected time travels—a twist of fate that puts all of Fawlt Line's citizens in serious danger. The books in the trilogy are Ripple Effect, Out of Time and Memory's Gate. They are recommended for ages 13-16.
Some more novels to consider are The Gabon Virus and The Influenza Bomb. They were both coauthored with Walt Larimore and involve the Time Scene Investigators who attempt to stop the outbreak of devastating viruses around the world. If you liked hearing about Ruku in the Blackgaard saga or Koflax from The Labyrinth, you'll enjoy these two exciting books as well.
Then there is also a book called The Mill House. In this story, a fifty year-old mystery comes to light when Lainey Bishop's grandmother falls into a sudden emotional decline and, across the Atlantic, Nicholas Powell finds a box containing unopened letters from an unknown woman to his grandfather. Two lives converge as Lainey tries to save her grandmother's life and Nicholas hopes to save his grandfather's soul. From the pain of the past emerges a tender story of lost love, betrayal, reconciliation, and renewed hope that spans a half-century and thousands of mile.
