John Avery Whittaker, the man, the myth, the legend, is the main character of Adventures in Odyssey. We've heard him since episode one, Whit's Flop, aired over thirty-five years ago. He's been voiced by three different main actors, five child actors, and one actor as young adult Whit (Jim Custer).
Having been in more episodes than any other character, it's high time we dedicated an editorial to talking about Mr. Whittaker. In Editorial 50: A Grandfather's Love we discuss Whit's unique role on the show and his complexity as a character. What do you like most about Mr. Whittaker? After you've read the editorial, share your thoughts in the comments.
