Books 13 to 15 in the Imagination Station series are titled The Redcoats Are Coming, Captured on the High Seas, and Surprise at Yorktown. And now you'll be able to experience this three-book story arc about the American Revolution all in one omni-book. This new three-pack will be released for sale in May 2016. Travel alongside Patrick and Beth as they meet heroes such as Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock, get captured by the British, and sneak through trenches and race across battlefields to warn General George Washington about a dangerous spy. This upcoming compilation is already available for preorder from CBD.
Adventures in Odyssey's Imagination Station series has a few new releases on the way. In September a boxed set of the first six books will be released and then in May of next year an omni-book featuring books 10 to 12 will come out. But in terms of individual book releases, there's finally some news on that front as well. The next installment in the series will be called Book 17: In Fear of the Spear. The title features an internal rhyme, similarly to the previous release, Book 16: Doomsday in Pompeii. In Fear of the Spear is written by Marianne Hering and will be available in stores in January 2016. As you can tell from the cover artwork, this story features the characters Patrick and Beth on an adventure in the jungle. You can come back to read the book's summary when it is posted online. If you want to catch up with what's been happening in the Imagination Station series lately, you can read the first chapter of Book 16: Doomsday in Pompeii in this free download. Or if you're thinking about starting the series from the beginning, you can read Book 1: Voyage with the Vikings here. A new boxed set of the first six books in the Imagination Station series is set for release in September 2015. The titles included will be Voyage with the Vikings, Attack at the Arena, Peril in the Palace, Revenge of the Red Knight, Showdown with the Shepherd and Problems in Plymouth. Buying one Imagination Station book separately costs around $4.99, which would total $29.94 if you bought the first six. A couple of years ago omni-books were released which each included three books and cost around $14.97 each. Again, if you wanted to get the first six books that would total $29.94. But this new boxed set of six books will cost just $19.97. That's only $3.33 per book. Will you take up this special offer? If you'd rather not wait until September for the boxed version, you can buy the first sixteen books in the series from Christian Book Distributors for $57.99, or $3.62 per book. Let us know in the comments if you read the Imagination Station series. Also coming in September 2015 will be a new Adventures in Odyssey Christmas album called the Countdown to Christmas Advent Collection. It will include 8 CDs. Stay turned for more details on that in the future. There will also be some AIO Christmas calenders released, including an Advent Activity Calendar and a Journey to the Manger Advent Calendar.
In July we revealed the summary for Book 16 in the Imagination Station series and today we can post the front cover. Doomsday in Pompeii is written by Marianne Hering and Paul McCusker and the story follows Patrick and Beth as they try to escape the city of Pompeii before Mount Vesuvius erupts. You can click on the cover image to see a higher resolution. This upcoming Adventures in Odyssey book will be available for purchase in stores in January 2015. What do you think of this cover design? Let us know in the comments. Meanwhile, Book 15: Surprise at Yorktown has been slightly delayed and will now release this November instead of October. Earlier this month we revealed on the AIO Update the title of Book 16 in the Imagination Station series, Doomsday in Pompeii, which will be released in January 2015. And today we have the summary for this upcoming book release. You can read it for yourself below. It’s the hottest adventure yet! When Patrick takes a trip alone in the Imagination Station for science project research, things get a little explosive. First, his cousin Beth gets angry that she was left behind. Second, Eugene Meltsner sees red when he realizes that Patrick went to Pompeii in 79 A.D. a day before Mount Vesuvius erupts! It doesn’t help that the Imagination Station is on the blink and Whit has gone missing. Speaking of the Imagination Station series, Brock Eastman, author of Book 5: Showdown with the Shepherd, has announced that his book has entered into its sixth printing, which will bring the total copies in print to 31,832. He also says, "At the moment there are 18 books planned for the series." This means that after Book 16: Doomsday in Pompeii, you can expect at least two more books to be produced in this series. And it's perfectly possible that the series will continue on from there and keep releasing more adventures, even beyond Book 18. It all depends on whether readers are interested.
We at the AIO Update have some more Adventures in Odyssey book news to release today. Last month the second volume in the Candid Conversations with Connie series was announced and today we now have the completed front cover. This book will be "a girl's guide to boys, peer pressure, and social media" and will be available in stores by March 2015. As you may remember, the first volume in this new series is labelled as "a girl's guide to growing up" and is coming out soon on October 1st, 2014. We'll keep you updated as we get more details. There's also news to announce to fans of the Imagination Station series. The three-book story arc centered on the American Revolution ends with the release of the third installment, Book 15: Surprise at Yorktown, this October. But what's next for the series, you ask? The title for the next book in the series has now been released. You can expect to see Book 16: Doomsday in Pompeii on store shelves in January 2015. We will post the book's summary and front cover as soon as they become available.
The new summary for Candid Conversations with Connie, Volume 1, is now here on the AIO Update: Welcome to Candid Conversations with Connie! And these conversations are going to be very candid. In this book we’re only taking questions from girls! Yep, they can ask whatever they want, and I will answer from my vast knowledge and experience. (Well . . . maybe not vast.) If I don’t know the answer, I’ll ask my friend Penny. We've been where you are, and we know what it’s like. You’re not a little girl anymore, but you’re still years off from adulthood. You still like to play, but you also enjoy having long conversations with friends. You sometimes want to cuddle on your mom’s lap, and other times you wish she would just leave you alone. All that’s pretty normal, and you’ll see that from the questions we’re answering. We also have the summary for Imagination Station Book 15: Surprise at Yorktown. Read it here: Travel two centuries back in time to the final battle of the American Revolution at Yorktown, Virginia. Cousins Patrick and Beth sneak through trenches and race across battlefields to warn General George Washington about a dangerous spy. The spy is stealing his secret plans and giving them to the British. Cannons roar and the ground shakes as the struggle reaches a climax. Washington’s ragtag soldiers are up against the most powerful army in the world. Will Patrick and Beth witness the American Revolution come to an end? Or will they be caught in a dangerous trap they can’t escape? In other news, the Odyssey Scoop has announced that The Officer Harley Collection has been released to Odyssey Adventure Club members.
