On the far left is a screenshot of a video from the Album 57 recording session that was posted on the AIO Facebook page. The other two photos are of actor Alan Bergman, the voice of Bill Kendall on Adventures in Odyssey. Do they look like the actor in the studio? In the comments on the video Katie Leigh says the actor's name is "Allen Berman" and suggests he is playing a returning character. The discrepancy between his two names is easily explained. "Allen" and "Alan" sound the same and could be misspelled. And "Bergman" could be misspelled as "Berman" as well. It seems like an awfully strange coincidence if they are different people. Could Connie's dad be making an appearance in the three part episode "Life Expectancy"? At this point the AIO team says they are not ready to confirm or deny this rumor.
Last spring it was announced that the winner of the College Writer's Scholarship Contest was Angela Phillips with her script called "A Jay in the Life," which will appear on Album 57. For any aspiring writers out there, you should know that the Adventures in Odyssey team is still planning on opening a new round of the contest next summer. So if you want to get a head start we would suggest you begin planning your ideas for an episode over the Christmas break. Last time the scholarship offered was $1000. You can get more updates when you like the contest's Facebook page. The three part episode written by Paul McCusker formerly titled "Ripples," which introduces Shona to the AIO team in Album 57, will be called "Life Expectancy." The only other episode title we know at this time is "A Jay in the Life." The AIO team will be back in the studio in California in the later part of January to record six more episodes for this album. Update: There's been some confusion in the comments on the AIO Facebook page and on other AIO websites about the title. Some heard it as "Life Expectancies." However, Evan Reedall has confirmed to us that the title is indeed "Life Expectancy." The AIO Facebook page has just released a couple of videos featuring the Adventures in Odyssey actors' reactions to Shona's acting during this latest Album 57 recording session. Kimmy Robertson (Penny Wise) called her performance "awesome" and Katie Leigh (Connie Kendall) said she was "amazing." Jess Harnell and Chris Anthony also both praised her acting abilities. Watch those videos on the Facebook page here. More photos from recording Album 57 are being released on the AIO Facebook page. According to Brock Eastman's captions, the episode they are recording right now has at least two parts and is an "impacting" and "memorable script." Also, he says "Katie is doing an amazing job. I'd say these are some of her best performances of all time especially with this very challenging script." It seems like this is going to be very exciting to listen to when it's released. A short video of Shona was also posted on the AIO Facebook page. And the team is also asking for fans to send in questions for Andre Stojka, Katie Leigh, Townsend Coleman, and Jess Harnell on their page. You can see all the photos from the recording session on this page. It has been confirmed that Album 57 will come out in the fall of 2013. At this point we are unaware of any new material being released next spring. The winner of the Get in the Show contest chosen out of over 5,500 entries was Shona. And now the AIO Facebook page has released the first photo of her recording in the studio in California for Album 57. Information about the character she'll be playing has been kept secret. At this point we do not know the character's name. Shona's mother also recorded some lines for an episode. You can see the photos of them and of more Adventures in Odyssey actors at the Album 57 recording session on this page. The title of this episode has now changed. More photos are being released on the AIO Facebook page. According to the caption, the episode "Ripples" has been given a different title. Another caption indicates that Whit will be involved in a "rather serious scene." If you look at the list of characters on the middle picture below, there seems to be a scene in the hospital because it includes a nurse and Doctor Lilly Graham. We first heard Dr. Graham in Album 53. As you can see from these pictures that were released today on the AIO Facebook page, the Adventures in Odyssey team is currently on their way to a recording session in California. They will be recording Album 57 with the winner of the Get in Show Contest, Shona. At this time we currently have very few details about this upcoming album, but we'll keep you posted as more news is released today and in the future. The number of AIO fans involved online just keeps on growing as the weeks go by. Today the official Adventures in Odyssey Facebook page has just reached 18,000 likes. If you remember, they were only at 17,000 likes in November. If you're not already a fan of AIO on Facebook, you can like it here. You will have access to behind-the-scenes videos, pictures, and upcoming events. And for instant news updates you can also follow us on Twitter: @AIOUpdate The Official Adventures in Odyssey Facebook page has just posted a sneak peek at some uncompleted AIO artwork by Gary Locke. It features the top four Odyssey characters (Wooton Bassett, Connie Kendall, Eugene Meltsner and Mr. Whittaker) around the Imagination Station. You can see inside Whit's End on the left side of the picture and on the right side you can see the environment created by the Imagination Station. Apparently this is for a new project coming out in the fall of 2013. Could it be the Album 57 cover? You can click on the image to view a larger version. |
