Audio Theatre Central has released a new podcast episode today in which they interview Shona Kennedy, the winner of the Get in the Show contest and the voice of Jules Kendall on Adventures in Odyssey's Album 57. She talks about her work in community theater, some of her favorite Odyssey episodes and her feelings at the announcement of the winner of GITS. She also shares her experiences in the studio with the other Odyssey actors and how her mother, Katriona, was able to participate in the episode as well. You can listen here. The second part of Candid KOnversations' interview with actor Zach Callison is now online. In this photo Zach is pictured along with actor Jess Harnell and acting coach Tony Gonzales at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre for the premiere last Wednesday of the documentary "I Know That Voice." In part two of the interview, Zach Callison talks about his voiceover and live action work in TV animation, web series, music, radio, advertising, and film, including Sofia the First, The Legend of Korra, and Diary of a Single Mom. He also talks about meeting actors at the Adventures in Odyssey Dallas Live Show. You can listen here. Book 13 in the Imagination Station series now has a front cover. The artwork for The Redcoats Are Coming depicts Patrick and Beth riding a horse through town sounding the alarm. This is the first installment of a three-book story arc about the American Revolution. In this book, which takes place in 1775, the cousins meet Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock. You may remember that Mr. Whittaker told the story of Paul Revere in The Midnight Ride on Album 14. The book's summary also explains how Patrick and Beth learn that most of the revolutionaries leaned on God’s direction and even pastors helped in the cause. Adventures in Odyssey fans will like this series as it features one of Mr. Whittaker's best inventions, the Imagination Station. Look for this book at your local Christian bookstore when it is released in January 2014. C.S. Lewis' stepson, Douglas Gresham, and writer Paul McCusker are interviewed on today's Focus on the Family Daily Broadcast. They discuss the historical origins and generational impact of the Mere Christianity radio lecture series, which later became a classic Christian book. This was the basis for Radio Theatre's latest production, "C.S. Lewis At War," which is now available for purchase. Paul McCusker has also written a companion book called "C.S. Lewis & Mere Christianity: The Crisis That Created a Classic." You'll find the audio interview featuring Gresham and McCusker as well as a bonus video clip all on this page. The next Adventures in Odyssey review from the AIO Update is of Stormy Weather from Album 2: The Wildest Summer Ever. In the season premiere episode of Candid KOnversations, created by Adventures in Odyssey fans Josh and Ally Ko, there's a new interview with actor Zach Callison, the voice of Matthew Parker. Zach talks about his experience with musicals, moving to LA from St. Louis, working on the film Kingshighway, and his role as an ambassador for the Sea Shepherd Conversation Society. You can listen here. Our 11th poll question has ended and AIO fans have chosen their answers. Out of the numerous character arcs that concluded around Album 49: The Sky's the Limit, almost 50% of voters agreed that Leonard and Everett Meltsner, who left for Africa in A New Era, should now return to the show. In second place was Connie's book and in third Grady McKay and his father. The search for Eugene's father officially began in Album 45 in Prisoners of Fear but it has its roots all the way back in Album 10 in Last in a Long Line. During the saga we discover many things about Eugene's family, as well as a rival archaeologist Dalton Kearn. Despite all the suspense, the conclusion of this saga seems to come very quickly after Leonard's appearance. Everett Meltsner only appears in two episodes. Hopefully when the time is right, the Meltsner family can be reunited again. We want to thank everyone for voting in our latest Adventures in Odyssey poll. We will be posting a new poll question shortly. You can make suggestions for future poll questions here. |
