It needs at least $100,000 in pledges from the audience by August 31st if it is to be fully funded and move into production of its first season. The audio drama follows fourteen-year-old orphan Jesse Davidson who lives with his emotionally-distant and peculiar uncle Christopher Portalis in the Iliad House, a mysterious old mansion on an island off the east coast of the United States. With this latest release, all the original Adventures in Odyssey novels by Paul McCusker will finally have all been repackaged. Danger Lies Ahead is the second omni-book in the series and now has a green border to frame the artwork. The other two compilation books are Strange Journey Back and Point of No Return, both of which have already been repackaged with the latest version of the AIO logo. Danger Lies Ahead includes four Odyssey novels. They are Lights Out at Camp What-a-Nut, The King's Quest, Danger Lies Ahead, and A Carnival of Secrets. These stories follow Mark Prescott as he has trouble with a bully at summer camp, and as he enters the Imagination Station to do battle during the time of knights and noblemen. We also see Jack Davis having difficulty knowing who to trust when he encounters some strange things going on, and Patti Eldridge begins to experience bizarre things after consulting a fortune-teller at the carnival.
