One of Adventures in Odyssey's most popular families, the Barclays, has been going on vacations since their first episode. After that first appearance in the episode Family Vacation they have gone on a number of different vacations. Sometimes they went off to visit exotic locations and other times they had adventures in more ordinary places. That's why we've created this latest AIO Update poll question. Out of all the family vacations the four Barclays have gone on together, which episode is your favorite? You can choose between Family Vacation, Our Best Vacation Ever, The Barclay Family Ski Vacation, Aloha, Oy!, and Pokenberry Falls, R.F.D. Vote for your favorite episode here.
Yesterday we revealed the title for Book 15 in Adventures in Odyssey's the Imagination Station series and we can now reveal the front cover. Surprise at Yorktown will be the third installment of a three-book story arc about the American Revolution. It will feature the Battle of Yorktown and how the war is finally brought to an end. This upcoming book will be available in stores for purchase in October 2014. You can click on the image to see a higher resolution. What do you think of this new cover artwork? Leave your comments down below. It's another fine day and again the AIO Update has some more exciting news, this time about upcoming books from Focus on the Family. A new Adventures in Odyssey book called Candid Conversations with Connie is set for release in October 2014. It will be "a girl's guide to growing up." Also, the title for the 15th book in the Imagination Station series has been revealed. It will be called Surprise at Yorktown and will also be available for purchase in October. The summaries for these two books have not yet been released. We will keep you up-to-date as we gain more information. Our 13th Odyssey poll question has now ended and the fans have spoken. We asked you what was the primary way in which you listened to AIO. Out of the variety of options available the most popular choice was physical CDs, with 44.44% of the vote. In second place was listening online at Whitsend.org. It seems the generation of AIO fans who grew up with CDs is still going strong. Most people who purchase their episodes prefer CDs over digital downloads. CDs, however, appear to be on their way out. For example, the special collection Family Portraits is not available on CD, only as a digital download, and neither are the exclusive episodes released only to Odyssey Adventure Club members. New AIO cassettes are no longer produced and it is likely that Odyssey CDs will also cease production eventually. As for those fans who like to listen to the latest episodes as they air each week, most of them prefer going to the official site for streaming. As the Odyssey Adventure Club is still quite new, only a minority of fans listen to the show through this service. This number will probably grow as the club becomes more established and changes over time. Thank you to all who voted in our latest Adventures in Odyssey poll. We will be posting a new poll question shortly. You can make suggestions for future polls here. Today the AIO Update has your first look at the cover for Adventures in Odyssey's next album.
