When Nelson Swanson is given the opportunity to lead his school's science club, he decides to discuss evolution with his class, producing frustrating complications. Meanwhile, Jill Segler is experiencing writer's block as she writes an article about evolution for The Odyssey Tribune.

Connie Kendall's job-seeking lands her at a local cable station for a job interview. Captain Absolutely is at it again and must fight an enemy that wants to go against God's standard for society. On the other side of town, Eugene teaches Nelson Swanson important facts about God's order in the universe.

Whit tells the story of William, a boy who becomes tired of being told what to do. When he encounters a mysterious traveler offering him a god that's just right for him, Will puts himself into a terrible trap.
