You may be aware that Adventures in Odyssey writer and director Paul McCusker is a C.S. Lewis enthusiast, having dramatized a number of his works for Focus on the Family Radio Theatre, including all seven novels in The Chronicles of Narnia, The Screwtape Letters, and the story behind Mere Christianity. Paul also wrote a helpful companion book to that latest audio drama called C.S. Lewis & Mere Christianity: The Crisis That Created a Classic. If you're interested in the life of the Christian apologist, academic and novelist C.S. Lewis, you will probably want to pick up a copy of a new book coming out this summer called Women and C.S. Lewis: What His Life and Literature Reveal for Today's Culture. Commissioned by the C.S. Lewis Foundation, this book examines Lewis’s personal relationships with women, the treatment of women in his writings, and asks if Lewis’s views are relevant or out of touch for the twenty-first century. It will be a collection of opinion pieces and will feature contributions from a number of people, including Odyssey writer Paul McCusker. In the U.S. it is currently scheduled to be released on July 1st, 2015. You can preorder it from Amazon.
