The opening episode of Album 59: Taking the Plunge, titled First Things First, has just premiered online on the Odyssey Adventure Club. This new album will contain a total of six episodes, the rest of which will be released on the club on a weekly basis over the next five weeks. It picks up where Album 58: The Ties That Bind left off, so to avoid spoilers you will definitely want to listen to that 14-parter before checking out these new episodes. After you've done that, you can read two new summaries for Album 59 below.
Wooton's unexpected marriage proposal to Penny triggers a lot of soul searching around Odyssey. Penny wants to know what it means to be committed to someone for the rest of her life. Connie can't be sure how their relationship as friends will change. Meanwhile, Wooton is looking into rebuilding his house, but runs into conflict with the neighbors. Eugene uses his computer talents to help the Odyssey Police solve a mystery at the bank. And Buck becomes entangled with Vance's gang in a way that looks like trouble. Where will it all lead? Join the folks in Odyssey as they take the plunge to learn about commitment, discernment, expectations, resolving conflict, family legacies and more.
Why is Connie feeling anxious about the future? Why is Buck hanging out with Vance's gang? Discover what brought Penny to town, the latest on the "Let's Get Together Festival," and what happens when "Deputy" Meltsner gets his first case.
If you're not in the OAC, you'll be able to purchase a digital download of Album 59 in July. The CD package, which will contain 2 discs, will be released in August, and then all the episodes will air on the radio and online beginning in September. Even though this is the first full album to contain only six episodes, Focus on the Family is still committed to producing twenty-four Odyssey episodes a year. Twelve will be exclusive to the Odyssey Adventure Club, and twelve others will be released on regular albums. That means we can look forward to the release of Album 60, which will have another six episodes, sometime this fall. Besides being the first to hear the latest from Adventures in Odyssey, an OAC membership also gives you access to every previously released album, including special collections such as The Lost Episodes, Passages: Darien's Rise, The Truth Chronicles, Family Portraits, The Officer Harley Collection, the animated video series, and the Spanish version of the show called Aventuras en Odisea. You can sign up for all these benefits and much more at oaclub.org.
