UPDATE: According to writer Paul McCusker, this cover image is only an early version and is not the final cover for the book The Body Under the Bridge. We'll let you know as soon as the final design has been released. Meanwhile, Paul also mentioned to us that the working titles for the next two novels in the trilogy are All Desires Known and Malevolence. In preparation for their release you may want to listen to the Father Gilbert Mysteries in advance, as the three upcoming books are completely new and original stories which take place after the events of the audio dramas.
If you're a fan of audio drama in general and have checked out Focus on the Family Radio Theatre, chances are you've heard of the Father Gilbert Mysteries, an original audio series which follows a former Scotland Yard detective turned Anglican minister. We announced in September of last year that writer Paul McCusker was working on three Father Gilbert novels. In March we released the summary for the first book, which will be titled The Body Under the Bridge. And now we can share with you the front cover artwork for this upcoming release. Paul McCusker has said in the past that this trilogy of novels will pick up where the audio dramas left off, continuing on the story sometime after the ending of the ninth episode, In Memoriam. The Father Gilbert audio dramas are known for being quite dark at times and are recommended for slightly older listeners than Adventures in Odyssey's target age range, and it looks like the book series will be no different. The Body Under the Bridge promises to take on plenty of intense topics, including murder, suicide, and a secret occult society. It was originally scheduled to be released in November 2015 but has since been pushed back to January 2016. Let us know in the comments section whether you're a fan of Father Gilbert.
