The live webcast that took place today announced the two ACTS Grand Prize Winners, Marissa and Wesley. They will be heading to Costa Rica in November for a Good Goers mission trip and become Odyssey Ambassadors. The webcast also featured two interviews with Adventures in Odyssey actors. There was an interview with Shona Kennedy, the winner of the Get in the Show contest, and another interview with Townsend Coleman, the voice of Jason Whittaker. Shona's interview contains some minor spoilers about the character she plays on Album 57: A Call to Something More. In case you missed those two interviews, you can listen to both of them below. UPDATE: You can now watch the entire live webcast in the 183rd edition of the Official Adventures in Odyssey Podcast here.
Today the AIO Update's 13th editorial has been published online. You can read "For Fifteen Dollars More" at this link and then rate it out of 10. This latest editorial deals with the Odyssey Adventure Club and some of the problems we see arising based on the information that has been released about it so far. Visit our Editorials page to submit ideas for new editorials. In May 2011 the AIO Update was founded with a logo that incorporated the Adventures in Odyssey logo into it. But today we are proud to reveal the website's brand-new logo design which includes some aspects of the old logo but is simpler and less cluttered. All our social network pages, including Facebook, Twitter and Google+, have now been updated with this new logo. What do you think of the new design? Let us know in the comments section. The reason for this change is that last week Focus on the Family asked us to remove the AIO logo, which we had incorporated into the AIO Update logo, from our Twitter account icon so as not to confuse fans who were trying to determine which was the official account. At the time we replaced all our social network icons with a temporary logo while we decided on how to proceed with a new design. While FOTF did not ask us to change the logo on our website, we felt it was important for the sake of continuity to display the same logo. That's why we have designed our new logo to be incorporated on both our website and social network pages. We hope you like the new look and continue to enjoy following our Adventures in Odyssey news updates and opinion pieces. The Voice Behind, a show that frequently interviews voice over artists, has released a new episode in which they interview Katie Leigh, the voice of Connie Kendall on Adventures in Odyssey. Katie talks about how the character of Connie doesn't age very quickly, how AIO has impacted her, and about the other shows she's worked on such as Dungeons and Dragons, My Little Pony, Muppet Babies and more. She also talks about playing Han Solo in Lego Star Wars: The Padawan Menace and her contribution to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. You can listen to the full interview here. Today in a new video episode of the Social Shout Out Brock and Evan talk with Townsend Coleman, the voice of Jason Whittaker on Adventures in Odyssey. Townsend shows us some different voices he does, talks about what he likes best about playing Jason, what going to a recording session is like, and reveals who his favorite Odyssey character to have a conversation with is. You can see Townsend again answering your questions on the upcoming live ACTS Webcast airing on September 30th at 5:00 PM EST. Watch the Social Shout Out video below. The next episode review from the AIO Update is available to read. This week we discuss The Tangled Web from Album 1: The Adventure Begins. In this episode Connie reads the story of Jeremy Forsythe, a boy who tells his mother a fib about some missing money. Both Jeremy and Connie learn that one lie leads to another. Read our review below. Despite our efforts to clearly display on our site and social network pages that the AIO Update is not affiliated with Focus on the Family, it appears there has still been some confusion among fans about this. As a result, Adventures in Odyssey has asked us to remove the AIO logo from our social network icons. We have created a temporary logo on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ while we work to create a permanent one which does not feature the AIO logo. If you have any ideas for what our new logo should look like, please leave your suggestions down in the comments below. Also, don't forget to check our new poll question if you haven't already. In the latest episode of Adventures in Odyssey's Official Podcast, Bob and Jesse talk with Katie Wynn, who grew up listening to Odyssey and entered a script in the College Writer's Scholarship Contest. That script turned into this weekend’s episode: “Big Trouble Under the Big Top.” Co-writer Bob Hoose also joins the show and at the end there is a preview of the new episode airing on Saturday. You can listen below. The AIO Blog has just released an interview with actor Steve Burns, the voice of Robert Mitchell and Rodney Rathbone on Adventures in Odyssey. Steve talks about how he first got into acting, his other acting roles besides AIO, his experiences in the studio, what he wished had happened to the character of Mitch and how he's involved with Iliad House. He even does a conversation between Rodney and Mitch. Listen to the interview on the video below. |
